HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE:
A Buford man was arrested by Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) investigators after they
found evidence he was in possession of multiple images of child pornography and had
shared at least one of the images.
Seth Daniel Marx, 20, was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 12, and charged with 11 counts of sexual
exploitation of a minor. He remains in the Hall County Jail with no bond.
The initial investigation, which began in February following a cybertip, determined Marx
was in possession of a video depicting young children being sexually assaulted. Marx
shared that video to an instant messaging platform. The suspect’s phone was seized as part
of the ongoing investigation and investigators found an additional nine videos containing
lewd images of children. The offenses occurred at Marx’s residence on Sweetwater Trail in
Buford.
Investigators do not believe any of the victims are from the local area.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) assisted with the investigation.”
