Though stolen car reports are not usually newsworthy, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in this case because of the quality of some video its detectives received during the course of their investigation. (The link to the video is at the end of the narrative).
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:
“BOLO – STOLEN CAR
· Tag number: CDQ3950
· Color: Black
· May have scratch down passenger’s side
Hall County Sheriff’s Office investigators hope you can identify the suspect and/or location of a stolen Dodge Challenger Hellcat.
On Monday evening, July 26, the suspect arrived at the seller’s residence on Magnetic Point to look at the vehicle, which was for sale. The victim took the suspect, who was wearing a black shirt and a red Atlanta Hawks hat, on two test drives in the car.
When they arrived back at the victim’s home the final time, both men exited the car. As soon as the victim closed his door, the suspect jumped back into the driver’s seat and drove away. The victim followed the stolen car for a time, but lost sight of it on Spout Springs Road as it fled east toward Capitola Farm Road.
Anyone with information should contact investigator Higman at (770) 297-4550.”
