The Hall School District Work-Based Learning (WBL) program held its annual Young
Professionals Seminar recently at Lanier Tech.
More than 650 high school WBL seniors from across the district came together for the
event designed to prepare the next generation of professionals for success beyond the classroom.
HALL CO. SCHOOL DISTRICT NEWS RELEASE:
“This year’s seminar offered a robust lineup of breakout sessions and keynote presentations
focused on essential life and career skills. Students participated in interactive discussions on
networking, balancing work and life, financial planning, giving and receiving feedback, and
professional workplace communication. Each session encouraged students to think critically
about their future goals while equipping them with the tools to thrive in today’s competitive
workforce. Breakout sessions were led by local business leaders including Lincoln Electric,
Regions Bank, Ryals Brothers and Perfectly Polished.
Capping off the day, students heard closing addresses from local and state legislators, who
shared their own career journeys and spoke about the importance of leadership, building your
personal and professional brand, and lifelong learning.
The Young Professionals Seminar is part of Hall County WBL’s ongoing commitment to
connecting classroom learning with real-world application. By engaging with community leaders
and industry professionals, students gain a deeper understanding of workplace expectations and
the skills needed to succeed in their chosen career fields.
The seminar underscores the vital role Work-Based Learning plays in workforce development
empowering students to build professional confidence, develop employability skills, and
envision their futures as contributing members of their communities.”
