Thursday night, the Flowery Branch City Council (FBCC) voted to annex, on first reading, property on Sasser Road and Hog Mountain Road, and now the Hall County Commission (HCC) is poised to formally object to that move. Nineteen acres are at issue.
The council did reject a rezoning request that would have cleared the way for the construction of nearly 100 townhomes on the site.
The county commission, meanwhile, has scheduled a 2:45 special meeting Monday afternoon just ahead of its 3:00 regularly scheduled work session, for the purpose of considering “adoption of a
resolution objecting to the annexations of 0 Sasser Road, 4651 and 4665 Hog Mountain Road by the City of Flowery Branch.”
The meeting will be held at the government center.
