*The Hall County Commission (HCC) Monday discussed the possibility of a 180-day moratorium on new data center applications. During a work session, which was streamed on this Website, County Attorney said the moratorium would give the county enough time to consider changes to the county’s Uniformed Development Code (UDC) to include provisions for data centers. *Two window washers were escaped injury in downtown Gainesville Monday afternoon when their equipment failed. Rescue personnel from the Gainesville Fire Department using a ladder truck retrieved the pair about 4:00.
*The mother of accused Apalachee school shooter testified Monday at the trial of her estranged husband was a troubled kid, but she never imaged he could do anything like the school shooting. Marcee Gray also said Colt Gray didn’t have a stable homelife, living part-time with her and part of the time with his dad and that she was more concerned that he would hurt himself rather than anyone else. Colin Gray is accused of murder, manslaughter and other crimes for providing his son with the gun authorities say he used in the shooting.
