Hall County’s population increased to 217,267 between July 1, 2022, and July 1, 2023, according to the latest estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau. That’s an increase of 4,646 or just over two percent.
Among adjoining counties, Jackson and Dawson were in the Top 10 nationally in annual percentage of growth.
On another table, Jefferson was number two in annual numeric growth by Micro areas in the country and number one in percentage of growth. Number nine on that list was Cornelia.

Among all Georgia counties, two more in the area are at or near the top in the number of new people added between 2022-2023, according to the estimate: Gwinnett County again led he state with 26,220 new souls and Forsyth – 21,600 – was second. For years they have consistently among the fastest-growing counties in the state.
