Hall unemployment rate holds steady

 Hall County recorded an unemployment rate of 3% in August, unchanged over the month. A year ago, the rate was 3.5%.

Meanwhile, the labor force increased by 7 over the month and decreased by 861 over the year, to 108,930.

Hall County finished the month with 105,660 employed residents. That number increased by 27 from the previous month and fell by 337 from the same time a year ago.

The county ended August with 108,700 jobs. That number was up 500 from the previous month and fell by 200 from the same time last year.

In the 12-county Georgia Mountains Regional Commission, which includes Hall, the jobless rate remained unchanged posting at 3.2% over-the-month. The rate was 3.8% one year ago.
