“Our young friend Andrew Collison, a volunteer with Running 4 Heroes,” took the streets of his subdivision (one night this week) to run a mile in memory of St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s County (LA) Deputy Sheriff Marylin Mayo. Deputy Mayo died on Thursday, September 21, 2023 following years of paralysis caused by a 2007 on-duty accident in which her patrol vehicle was crushed by a falling tree during a storm. Her partner was killed instantly.
Andrew’s run marked 1,062 miles run to date by Running 4 Heroes volunteers who hit the pavement in honor of fallen law enforcement officers. HCSO is proud to support Andrew in his efforts!”
