Hall property reassessments on their way

HALL CO. GOVERNMENT NEWS RELEASE:

“The Hall County Tax Assessors’ Office will mail 2025 Notice of Assessments on Tuesday to all real and personal property owners.

Real property consists of land and any improvements thereon, while Personal Property consists of boats, personal watercraft, aircraft, businesses and manufacturers. As required by state law, this annual notice will include a written explanation of the value of taxable property.

If you have not received your assessment notice within a reasonable amount of time from Tuesday, Aug. 5, you may do one of the following:

Go online to qPublic Hall County, locate your property, scroll to the bottom of the page and select 2025 Assessment Notice (PDF) to access your 2025 Notice of Assessment.Contact the Tax Assessors’ Office at 770-531-6720 to ensure the correct mailing address is on file.

Go online to qPublic Hall County and select “Change of Address” if your address has changed.Property owners will have 45 days from the date of the notice to file an appeal online at qPublic Hall County, via U.S. mail or in person. Only the USPS postmark can be used to determine the timeliness of any appeals mailed close to the deadline.

Appeal information, interactive appeal forms and FAQs can be found on the Tax Assessors’ Office’s website at www.hallcounty.org.

All homestead exemptions can also be applied for during the 45-day window. To qualify for the exemption for 2025, you must own and live in the house as of Jan. 1, 2025, and meet all other qualifications, such as age requirements, if applicable to the exemption for which you are applying. Please note: The Board of Tax Assessors has no authority to extend appeal deadlines.
