Hall property assessment notices to be mailed Tuesday

The Hall County Tax Assessors office will mail notices of current assessments to all owners of real and personal property Tuesday.

HALL CO. GOVERNMENT NEWS RELEASE:

“Real property consists of land and any improvements thereon. Personal Property consists of boats, personal watercraft, aircraft, businesses and manufacturers. As required by state law, this annual notice will include a written explanation of the value of taxable property and an estimate of the property tax bill.

If you have not received your assessment notice within a reasonable amount of time from Tuesday, May 14, you may do one of the following;

  • Contact our office at 770-531-6172 to ensure we have your correct mailing address.
  • Go online to qPublic Hall County and select “Change of Address” if your address has changed.
  • If you have not received your notice of assessment in a timely manner, go online to qPublic Hall County, locate your property, scroll to the bottom of the page and select 2024 Assessment Notice (PDF) to access your 2024 notice of assessment. 

Property owners will have 45 days from the date of the notice to file an appeal online at qPublic Hall County Ga, via U.S. mail or in person. Only the USPS postmark can be used to determine the timeliness of any appeals mailed close to the deadline. Appeal information, interactive appeal forms and FAQs can be found on the Tax Assessors’ website at www.hallcounty.org.

Property owners have until Friday, June 28, 2024 to appeal.

Please note, the Board of Tax Assessors has no authority to extend appeal deadlines.
