*The public hearing by 9th Dist. state school board member Martha Zoller, scheduled for Saturday in Rabun County has been postponed. A new hearing date will be scheduled. The original hearing notice is available here. No reason was given for the postponement just that it was because of “unforeseen circumstances.”
*White County has been awarded a 2025 Employee Safety Grant in the amount of $6,000 from the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG). ACCG says these grants support counties that demonstrate a strong commitment to protecting employees, elected officials, and volunteers through proactive workplace safety investments. WRWH in Cleveland reports the grant was used to purchase “a range of safety equipment and supplies across multiple county departments.”
