UPDATE: That attempt during this year’s state legislative session by a member of the Hall County delegation to end Daylight Saving Time (DST) in Georgia failed. Doing so would have put Georgia in the Atlantic Time Zone (ATZ) and place the state two hours, instead of one, ahead of Alabama.
