Hall County Solid Waste is again accepting roofing shingles at the county landfill.
“Due to previous capacity limitations, the landfill was unable to accept roofing shingles in recent years,” Public Works and Utilities Director Jorge Gomez said. “With the completion of new landfill cells and an extended operational life through 2040, we’re now able to resume this service for our residents and contractors.”
Shingles will not be accepted at compactor sites or the recycling center, only at the landfill. All loads are subject to inspection, and materials not meeting acceptance criteria may be rejected.
The landfill is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
