Tale of Two Wrecks: One on I-985, one on Thompson Bridge Rd.

*The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) says there were no injuries in a four-vehicle, chain-reaction crash that snarled afternoon rush hour traffic on I-985 near Flowery Branch Tuesday. Troopers said Thursday the wreck evolved about 3:45 when traffic began slowing because of a back-up of cars and trucks that had slowed because of a brush fire. *An overturned tractor trailer that was carrying chicken “parts” according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) closed a part of Thompson Bridge Road near Lee Road for more than three hours overnight Wednesday. The driver said the rig flipped when another vehicle passed it and then “cut him off.” HCSO filed no charges against the driver who was not injured. A HCSO spokesman added “It looks like cleanup started at approximately 1 a.m. and was complete by roughly 4:30 a.m.”
