STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“(Thursday morning) at approximately 6:40, a Trooper was dispatched to two traffic crashes on SR 51 (Homer Highway) near Maiden Lane.
The investigating trooper determined that a tree had fallen across both lanes of SR 51.
A 2000 Chevrolet Silverado traveling west on SR 51 struck a tree. Shortly after the first collision, a 2023 Toyota Tacoma traveling on SR 51 struck the tree as well.
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, Charles Cox, age 51, of Nicholson, was not injured in the crash. The passenger of the Chevrolet Silverado, Cameron Cox, age 21, of Homer, was not injured in the crash. The driver of the Toyota Tacoma, David Silveira, age 54, of Anaheim, CA, was not injured in the crash.”
