Hall County will host a series of public information forums around the county beginning Monday on the T-SPLOST referendum to be voted on a month from now.
“The Transportation SPLOST ballot question will be very generic and provide little detail,” Hall County Administrator Zach Propes said. “We want to ensure voters are informed before they reach the polls, and attending one of our informational sessions is one of the easiest ways voters can learn about the program.”
“We (will) cover the projects that would be completed using Transportation SPLOST dollars, the breakdown of how funds would be allocated and, most importantly, we offer an opportunity for citizens to ask any questions they may have about the proposed program,” Propes said.
Sessions will be held:
- Oct. 7 from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.: Drop-in, Hall County Government Center, 2nd Floor Training Room, 2875 Browns Bridge Rd., Gainesville
- Oct. 7 at 6 p.m.: Presentation, Lula Train Depot, 5911 Wall St., Lula
- Oct. 10 from 5:00 p.m. – 7 p.m.: Drop-in, Mulberry Creek Community Center, Half Community Room, 4491 JM Turk Rd., Flowery Branch
- Oct. 14 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.: Drop-in, Downtown Library, 2nd Floor Meeting Room, 127 Main St. NW, Gainesville
