First-time claims for unemployment insurance filed in Hall County last month were down compared to October. Over-the-month applications in November were down 25.2 percent; over-the-year they decreased by 25.5 percent.
In the 12-county Georgia Mountains Region, which includes Hall County and most of northeast Georgia, applications in decreased November compared to October by 34.2 percent. Compared to November 2023 they were down 32.8 percent.
Statewide, they were down 32.6 percent and 13.4 percent, respectively.
