Hall Co. church cancels in-person services Sun. because of Covid

An outbreak of Covid among its membership led a Hall County church to cancel its in-person services Sunday.

“We have several cases of Covid within our congregation and have decided it’s best to stay safe!” a Facebook post reads. “We will not have in-person or online services on Sunday, August 31. Enjoy your holiday weekend and we will be back next Sunday!”

Meanwhile, the CDC says a COVID-19 surge is underway across the country. While tracking from the CDC does not include Georgia, the Georgia News Network reports, officials say Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas have reported that 15 percent of COVID-19 tests are coming back positive.
