Hall BOE OKs ’23-’24 calendar; Clyde going after Trump’s prosecutors

*The Hall County Board of Education Tuesday night approved the school calendar for 2023-2024. Classes will start Aug. 2 and end May 23. In addition to the traditional yearly holidays and holiday breaks, there will be five-day weekends in mid-October and mid-February, and Election Day, Nov. 5 will be a holiday.

*Georgia News Network reports U.S. Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Jackson County) wants to use an upcoming appropriations bill to cut federal funding for the offices of Fulton Co. D.A. Frani Willis, Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg, and special counsel Jack Smith. All three are currently pursuing criminal charges against former President Trump for various offenses. The AJC says it’s unclear how much GOP support Clyde, a staunch supporter of Trump, has.
