“Our office is working to assist the local VFW Post #7720 in holding an event for National Purple Heart Day on August 7th.
We will sending out flyers next week with details for the event. Neither the Commission Office or the VFW have access to a conclusive list of names of local Purple Heart recipients or contact information for them or their families.
We would like to get the word out on as many platforms as possible that the Commission Office is asking the community to help us with getting in touch with local Purple Heart recipients and their families. They can either email me at [email protected] or call my phone number at 706-839-0215.”
