Habersham EMS trainees may soon be riding Hall EMS ambulances

Habersham County officials have proposed an agreement with Hall County that would permit Habersham EMS trainees to ride-along on Hall County ambulances as part of their orientation. The Habersham County Commission is scheduled to consider the proposal at a meeting on Monday.

“To gain approval of the Memorandum of Agreement between Habersham County and Hall
County for the purpose of Habersham County Emergency Services students to be permitted to ride on Hall County Med Units during their clinical rotations,” the agenda notification reads.

It also notes that in the past “many educational institutions, both public and private, have used Habersham County Emergency Services as a site for their students to gain clinical experience and training.”

The commission is also scheduled to consider agreements with the state Department of Transportation (GDOT) for right-of-way expenses associated with plans to replace a bridge on Garrison Drive at Mud Creek and one on Hub Tatum Road over Sautee Creek.
