Habersham Co: Three stabbed, suspect in custody

HABERSHAM CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HABCOSO) NEWS RELEASE:

“Just before (1:00 Sunday afternoon), Habersham County E-911 dispatchers received a call reporting a fight…on Canterberry Trail near Clarkesville and that several people had been stabbed…

Dispatchers reported that the male suspect was barricaded inside a camper on the property.

A Habersham County deputy arrived, determined there were three victims with stab wounds, and provided cover so that Clarkesville police and other arriving responders could provide aid and evacuate the injured to ambulances as they got on scene.

One stabbing victim was determined to be suffering from critical injuries…

All were taken by ambulance for treatment.

The male suspect was arrested by Habersham County deputies at the scene and taken to the Habersham County Detention Center.

No further details about the circumstances and those involved can be released pending the ongoing investigation by the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
