Gwinnett Co. Police have released details of a recent incident in which the department’s aviation unit was able to find a missing 8-year-old from Suwanee.
A social media post says the youngster was located about 30 minutes after the search began when the aviation unit spotted him in a wooded area near the neighborhood where he was reported missing.
While the helicopter hovered over his location, other officers “navigated through the thick, thorny bushes to rescue and safely return the child to his parents.”
