Building permits issued by the city of Gainesville last month totaled 148 for projects expected to cost $10.9 million.
Of that number and total, 67 were for residential work, including 29 single-family homes with an expected construction cost of $6.6 million. Another three were for additions, repairs and remodeling with a $781,000 price tag.
Commercially, there was only one permit for a new project and nine for additions, repairs, and remodeling.
