There were no serious injuries in chain of events in the East Hall area Tuesday afternoon that resulted in a number of charges, including DUI and hit-and-run.
STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“(About 4:00), a white Dodge pickup and a blue Toyota SUV were traveling north on White Sulphur Rd. The pickup truck was driven by 21-year-old Elvis Hernandez-Toledo.
The investigation revealed that Hernandez-Toledo struck the SUV, driven by Carlos Cardona Barriga, several times and passed it in a no passing zone. Hernandez-Toledo fled the crash scene and continued north on White Sulphur Rd., before turning onto a private driveway and striking a fence. He then traveled back onto White Sulphur Rd. and continued south only to lose control of the vehicle, traveling off the road, striking a ditch and overturning. Troopers say Hernandez-Toledo was under the influence at the time.
He was taken t the Hall County Jail and was freed Wednesday on bonds totaling $13,090. He’s charged with:
*FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY
* DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
*PASSING IN A NO PASSING ZONE
*HIT -AND-RUN
*LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT
*AGGRESSIVE DRIVING

Two injuries were reported in the chain of events, but their severity was not available Wednesday. A juvenile was in the SUV with Barriga.
