A 30-year-old Gainesville man, reportedly driving a car stolen in Hall County, has been jailed in Madison County after authorities say he was involved in a hit-and-run followed by a chase with sheriff’s deputies. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) says the accident happened at an intersection in Ila.
Shortly after that, deputies reportedly identified Jared Lonnie Moore, 30, as being involved and posted a lookout for his car, which was soon spotted on Georgia Highway 29 in Danielsville.
Moore has been charged in Madison County with driving while driver’s license is suspended or revoked, driving without a valid driver’s license, failure to obey traffic control device, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, hit and run, duty of driver to stop at or return to the scene of an accident, laying drags, no valid insurance, operating vehicle where prohibited, reckless driving, theft by receiving stolen property and failure to maintain lane/weaving over roadway
