Gville man charged with bestiality, distributing obscene material

Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) investigators recently charged a Gainesville man with bestiality and distributing obscene material stemming from an incident at his residence earlier this year.

HCSO NARRATIVE:

“Investigators arrested Justin Nicholas Watson, 22, on Friday afternoon…following an interview at HCSO Headquarters. According to the preliminary investigation, Watson committed the crime of bestiality between May 21 and 22 at his residence on Joe Chandler Road. He video recorded himself in the act with a dog, uploaded the video to Snapchat and sent it to at least three different individuals.

The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) took the initial report on the incident. LCSO shared its case with HCSO on July 31 after determining the crime may have happened in Hall County. HCSO began working on the case locally and obtained a search warrant for Watson’s Snapchat account on Aug. 14. After reviewing account data, investigators obtained a search warrant for Watson’s Hall County residence. They executed the search on Friday morning…located Watson and took possession of the dog.

Watson was booked into the Hall County Jail following his arrest. He posted $8,100 bond and was released on Saturday afternoon…

The dog did not suffer injuries during the incident. Investigators released it to the care of Hall County Animal Services.”
