Gwinnett County Police have arrested a Gainesville man and charged him with aggravated assault following an incident at a Suwanee gas station Wednesday.
GWINNETT POLICE NEWS RELEASE:
“…officers responded to a reported shooting at 2090 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road in unincorporated Suwanee.
When officers arrived…they found the victim with a head wound. The victim initially stated that an unknown male had shot him. Emergency personnel transported the victim to a local area hospital. Following an investigation, detectives were able to collect video evidence and determined that the victim was not shot but rather struck with the firearm, causing it to discharge. The incident happened after the two men “shoulder-checked” each other inside the gas station.
…detectives later identified the suspect as Isaac Hernandez (age 30, Gainesville). With the assistance of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Hernandez was taken into custody… in Gainesville without incident.
Hernandez is currently booked into the Gwinnett County Jail and charged with aggravated assault, battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.”
