Gville, Cleveland women charged with drug trafficking among other things

JACKSON CO. N.C. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE:

“(Late last month, a North Carolina state trooper) stopped a vehicle for speeding on US 74 East near exit 85

(The officer) requested assistance from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Sylva Police Department due to suspicious behavior by the occupants of the vehicle.

Sylva Police (used) a K-9, which alerted on the vehicle and a search of the vehicle was performed. Officers seized approximately ($9,000) in cash, 10.74 grams of Fentanyl and a firearm as a result of the search.”

Tamkio Jackson, 46 of Gainesville, is charged with:
*2 Counts Trafficking Fentanyl
*Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substances
*Possession Controlled Substances on Prison/Jail Premises
*Possession Drug Paraphernalia
*Carrying a Concealed Weapon
*Simple Possession of Marijuana

Jackson is being held without bond.

Shelbie Jackson, 35 of Cleveland, is charged with:
*2 Counts of Trafficking Fentanyl
*Possession with intent to Manufacture/Sell and Deliver Fentanyl.
*Possession Controlled Substance on Prison/Jail Premises
*Speeding
*Possession Drug Paraphernalia
*Failure to Wear Seat belt

She, too, is being held without bond.
