UPDATE: Bank robbery suspect ID’d

10:45 A.M. FRIDAY UPDATE:

The suspect in Thursday’s Wells Fargo bank robbery is Christopher Hudson, 25, Gainesville, and more information on the incident has been disclosed.

“Hudson did enter the Wells Fargo located at 3660 Browns Bridge Road, presented a teller with a note advising this is a robbery.,” Gainesville Police spokesman Kevin Holbrook said Friday. “Bank employees were able to alert police, who arrived within moments and took Hudson into custody without issue.”

Hudson is being held in the Hall County Jail without bond, charge with criminal attempt to commit robbery.

One person is in custody following a bank robbery in Gainesville this afternoon. Details are scare right now but here’s what Gainesville Police posted on Facebook about 4:00:

“Police responded to a robbery in progress at the Wells Fargo bank located on Browns Bridge Road. Moments later officers arrested the male suspect at the bank without incident.”

Police detectives and FBI agents are investigating.
