The state patrol said Sunday a drunk driver was to blame for a power outage in South Hall last week.
GEORGIA STATE PATROL (GSP) NARRATIVE :
“(Thursday night about midnight) a Post 6 Trooper arrived at the scene of a one-vehicle traffic crash occurring near the intersection of Credit Drive and Cash Road…
The crash investigation revealed a 2013 Infiniti G37 sedan was traveling south on Credit Drive. The Infiniti traveled off the east edge of the roadway striking a road sign and utility pole.
The Infiniti then entered a ditch causing the vehicle to vault and overturn onto its roof. The Infiniti came to a final rest in the westbound lane of Cash Road.
The driver of the Infiniti, Ms. Nina Johnson, age 24 from Sugar Hill, was charged with Driving Under the Influence, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Possession of an Open Container.
Ms. Johnson was taken to NGMC Gainesville for minor injuries. Her passenger was not injured.”
The wreck knocked out power in the area for several hours.
