Gainesville Police also say they are investigating a murder/suicide in the 2800 block of Deerwood Trace. Police found a deceased male and female at a private residence, according to a brief posting on the department’s Facebook page.
In an UPDATE to this story, spokesman Kevin Holbrook said Thursday afternoon that he didn’t have any information on the names, relation, etc. of the victims.
He did say, however, “Officers were called to the scene after (the) two subjects were found in a car with gunshot wounds. Both were deceased on scene. It appears that the male subject shot the female, then himself. I am not sure who found them and called 911.”
