An 18-year-old is recovering after being shot over the weekend, according to Gainesville Police.
Lt. Kevin Holbrook said Monday that Friday night just before midnight police responded to 854 Davis Street for a gunshot victim.
“Police encountered Wilfried Alexandre Mbota Tongo,18, who had a gunshot wound to the leg and buttocks,” Lt. Holbrook said. “He was transported to NGMC in stable condition.”
Holbrook added that investigators have little information available in the case.
