Gainesville Police are investigating a shooting that apparently occurred Sunday night.
“Police responded to Northeast Georgia Medical Center at around 9:30pm for a subject with a gunshot wound,” spokesman Kevin Holbrook wrote in an email. “A 19 year old Hispanic male was dropped off at the hospital with injuries to the arm and abdomen. The shooting victim is listed in stable condition.”
Lt. Holbrook said initial information indicated that the shooting may have occurred in the parking lot of Regal Hollywood Cinemas, though investigators have not been able to confirm that.
“Police do feel confident this was not a random crime,” he added. “Anyone with information is asked to call authorities.”
