The Gainesville Police Department (GPD) and Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) recently brought home several awards from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety’s (GOHS) Governor’s Challenge Award ceremony.
Out of all agencies staffed with 101-200 officers, GPD placed first in the category. HCSO placed first in Motorcycle Safety and the state Department of Natural Resources’ (DDNR) Gainesville-based Region 2 Office won the Impaired Boating Prevention award.
