EARLIER STORY. POSTED 8:00 A.M. FRIDAY:

Gainesville Police and the Georgia State Patrol (GSP) are reporting the arrests of several people recently on drug distribution/trafficking charges. Each of the arrests followed traffic stops.

The GSP charges grew out of a traffic stop on Georgia 365 early Tuesday. Troopers say two kilograms of suspected methamphetamine were discovered in a car driven by a Tennessee woman, Amya Alexis Collington, who remained in the Hall County Jail without bond early Thursday. Three people in the car with her face similar charges.

As of Wednesday, Gainesville Police had not yet completed the report on the arrest of Katie Nicole Johnson, 43, and Curtis Shane Hill, also 43, on several trafficking and distribution charges involving cocaine, marijuana, and meth. Johnson, the driver of their car, also faces several traffic-related charges. They were arrested two days ago.

And police say $4,000 worth of cocaine and marijuana was found when Ricardo Aguilar, 25, was stopped. This happened on Friday.
