The Gainesville Gol’Diggers start defense of their Sun Belt League championship next Friday night at Ivey-Watson Field. The Gol’Diggers are tied with the Columbus Chatt-a-hoots for the top spot in the Sun Belt League standings with two games left on the regular season schedule. The Chatt-a-hoots host the Brookhaven Bucks Friday and Saturday, while the Gol’Diggers will play a doubleheader in Columbus against the Chattahoochee Monsters Sunday at 2:05 PM. Gainesville and Columbus are tied with identical 20-6 records. Both teams will receive first round byes and will host semi-finals games next Friday.
