Georgia Medicare security breach

Medicare beneficiaries throughout Georgia are receiving snail mail about a security breach – and it is not a scam. Georgia News Network reports the breach happened in May, but the victims are just now receiving the letters.
Over 600,000 recipients may have had their data stolen, including social security numbers and driver’s license details.
WSB-TV reports Medicare is using a contractor called Maximus to contact those affected with a letter through the mail, pointing out it’s not junk mail or a scam.
