GDPH: Measles outbreak contained

(GEORGIA NEWS NETWORK)

The Georgia Department of Public Health (GDPH) reports successfully containing a measles outbreak this year by isolating three unvaccinated patients and tracing their contacts.

However, officials are concerned about rising cases in other states, particularly Texas, where over 500 people have been infected, resulting in three deaths among unvaccinated people.

They emphasize that vaccinations are the best protection against the disease.
