Cumming roundabout, Gville pedestrian crossing upgrades OK’d by GDOT

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) recently award contracts for 31 projects around the state including 1.4 miles of pedestrian crossing upgrades on Browns Bridge Road between Skelton Road and McEver Road. The amount of the contract is $576,000.

Also included is the construction of a roundabout on Georgia 9 at AC Smith Road in Forsyth County at a cost of $20.6 million – the largest of six construction contracts awarded.

Other projects include motorcycle guard rails at various locations in Habersham, Lumpkin, Towns, and Rabun counties. That price tag? $2.4 million.
