Plans are underway to rezone the Gainesville City School System’s (GCSS) student attendance zones.
Recommendations from the 2024 Attendance Zones and School Choice Committee were presented to the school board recently and plans announced for school-specific community meetings, according to a posting on the GCSS Facebook page.
Those meetings will be held first two weeks of November to “provide those with a vested interest in a particular school or Gainesville City Schools as a whole, an opportunity to discuss the committee’s recommendations.”
