The GBI has arrested a White County man on child sexual exploitation charges and a Commerce man on a murder charge.
Christopher Tench, 32, is charged with four counts of Child Molestation and six counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children.
The GBI began an investigation into Tench’s online activity after receiving a request from the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office regarding the possible online possession and production of child sexual abuse material. The investigation led to a raid on Tench’s home Sunday and his subsequent arrest.
Also Sunday, the agency arrested and charged Cesario Choc Caal, 23, of Commerce with felony murder, malice murder, and aggravated assault in connection to the death of Griselda Seb, 19, also of Commerce.
The GBI acted after the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office requested help with a death investigation. Deputies and emergency medical personnel responded to the 5000 block of Highway 82 Spur in Commer, in response to a call for medical assistance.
After further investigation, the deputies and emergency medical personnel determined that Acte had injuries to her neck. Acte was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Caal was at the house when 911 was called.
