GBI releases 2023 crime stats for metro Gville

The GBI has released crime statistics for metro Gainesville (which includes all of Hall County) and the rest of Georgia. The GBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program is derived from the Federal Bureau of
Investigation’s national program.

Here are the metro Gainesville numbers:

Population: 217,739

Murder: 11

Rape: 70

Robbery: 49

Aggravated Assault: 388

Burglary: 345

Larceny-Theft: 2,342

Motor Vehicle Theft: 277

Arson: 9

Other: 6
