Double-digit gas prices dips have taken place over the past week in Gainesville and the state as a whole.
AAA Georgia says prices in Gainesville went from $3.54 a gallon for regular unleaded a week ago to $3.36-a-gallon today. The state average is 17 cents cheaper than than it was last Monday – falling to $3.39.
Even though the price of oil is increasing, AAA says the price at the pump may continue to decline because of seasonal cutbacks in driving by many motorists “…with schools back in session, the days getting shorter, and the weather less pleasant.”
