Gas prices have yo-yoed back up

The Georgia gas price average is up compared to a week ago -and the same applies to Hall County.

Georgians are paying an average of $3.45-a-gallon for regular unleaded. That’s six cents more than a week ago. The price at the pump in Hall County is $3.41- up nine cents compared to last Monday.

The national average also rose but just by two cents – from $3.63 to $3.65.

“Now that the season has shifted and warmer weather graces us across the state, drivers flock to the roads, thereby igniting a rise in gas prices,” said AAA’s Montrae Waiters, AAA. “In the face of persistent conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, oil prices have shockingly been receding recently. If this trend continues, we anticipate prices at the pump will follow suit.”
