The price of gasoline is down today from a week ago both statewide and in Hall County.
AAA says the average price of regular unleaded in Gainesville this morning is $3.54 compared to $3.59 last Monday. The statewide average is $3.56. A week ago, it was $3.60.
Nationwide, the price is $3.82, down from $3.84.
AAA spokesman Andy Gross says these decreases come despite a recent uptick in the price of oil, the primary ingredient in gasoline. “This uneasy balancing act may last until we get beyond hurricane season and its threats to Gulf Coast oil and gas production and refining.”
