A Gainesville was jailed in Cleveland following a weekend chase with White County sheriff’s deputies.
It happened Saturday night when the officers tried to stop a car on Georgia 115 East, according to the sheriff’s office. The driver, later identified as William Mosquere-Contraras, 33, was arrested after deputies pursued his car through Cleveland. The chase ended near the Appalachain Parkway when deputies performed a PIT maneuver on the vehicle causing it to wreck.
Mosquere-Contraras is facing a number of traffic-related charges, including DUI. He’s also charged with second-degree forgery and fleeing or attempting to elude.
