Flowery Branch Asst. Police Chief Tod Templeton said Monday the arrest was made Sunday night at a Gainesville motel. The robbery occurred Saturday at Wells Fargo in Flowery Branch.

“…Flowery Branch Police Investigators worked diligently through the weekend to follow up on numerous investigative leads concerning the robbery. Ultimately, Investigators were able to identify the suspect as being Dusty McCoy Krantz, 37, Gainesville. On the evening of November 5th, 2023, Mr. Krantz was located in a room at the Super 8 motel, 541 Dorsey Street in Gainesville. With assistance from the Gainesville Police Department, Flowery Branch Police Investigators took Krantz into custody without incident. At this time, Mr. Krantz has been charged with one count of Robbery by Intimidation. This investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
