Gainesville businessman Mike Cottrell died recently at the age of 73, according to an obituary that was released Tuesday. Cottrell passed away at his Dahlonega home following an extended illness.
He began his professional career working alongside his father, Don, at Cottrell, Inc., in Gainesville. “Through unwavering work ethic, innovation, and leadership, Mike helped guide the company to be a leader in the car-hauling industry,” his obituary says.
He was a longtime supporter of University of North Georgia, Junior Achievement, and many organizations.
