*Georgia tax collections continue to drop. Georgia News Network reports collections last month were down 1.1 percent from August 2022 and that because gas taxes weren’t collected last August the adjusted figure tracking the month-to-month decline in revenues actually comes to about 4.8 percent.
*Hall County Financial Services has again been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association. This is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, an award received by Hall County for 31 consecutive years.
